To Our SPIM Family,
The biggest no-brainer since Mama Eve nibbled the naughty notion to rebel: “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from the tree that is in the middle of the Garden, and you must not touch it or you will die’?”
Australia is currently boiling over on a possible name-change for so-called “same-sex marriage". Unfortunately, too many people do not know, nor do they even care what the Bible--the Global best seller since Gutenberg-- says on the matter. That includes Moses’ involvement. He had just slipped out of the Almighty’s Sanctuary on Sinai to pen the prohibitions of Leviticus 18:22—“Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman.” That’s graphic and clear enough but I learned as a Bible Translator in Papua New Guinea in the ‘60’s: “No one is so blind as he who does not wish to see!”
Moreover, this same-sex bit was certainly not invented by the Church, where too few people neither know the Holy Writ, who said it, nor that Leviticus (3rd book of Torah) overflows with the Mind and purposes of our Maker. Again “No one is so blind as he who does not wish to see”!
But hold it! That was just from the Old Testament wasn’t it? Let’s try the New Covenant. No sooner than Saul cum Paul was zapped by the Holy Spirit and knocked to the ground on his way to persecute Christians in Damascus, that he began to write prolifically. Let’s review what God dictated for him to pen in Romans 1:24-29: “Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
V.26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity…”
Nothing new here! Looks like Moses and Paul were using the same resource material but it was not from the same Church or even the same Synagogue! Must have been the same Creator however! And it's been in our BIBLES FOR CENTURIES
The New Testament continues in Romans 1:29-32: “They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity....they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.”
Again, it’s pretty clear who cooked up these Biblically prohibited same-sex relationships (just don’t call it marriage). It has nothing to do with procreation—just the opposite! Check it again in Genesis 3:13—
“Then the LORD God said to the woman, 'What is this you have done?' The woman said, 'The serpent deceived me, and I ate.' ”
Humanity never made that one up! Again it wasn’t the church, not even the Pope. It was “slithering Sammy” the legless lizard—no less! Indeed, no one is so blind as he who does not wish to see! What I hear from the church is that the Almighty loves the sinner, but hates the sin as in Leviticus 18 or Romans 1:24-27.
So what have we seen thus far? “Homophobic” is not even listed in early Merriam-Webster Editions. From the above Scripture texts, God loves homosexuals but loathes the life style they choose. The currently updated Merriam-Webster defines, “homophobic” as “intense fear of homosexuals or homosexuality”. Google defines the word as. “Dislike or prejudice against homosexual people.” The choice of words in the Leviticus Scripture text is, “detestable” or “perversion”. The text in Romans is “sexual impropriety”, “shameful lusts” or “depravity minded”. Obviously, our Creator is not overly impressed. The best advice is, the closer you get to your Creator, the better you will hear and see. From the current prophetic developments, that could even be before 2017 is over!
Let’s go to that last option for which 13th Century Rabbi Judah Ben Samuel prophesied that the Ottoman Turks would take control of Jerusalem in 1517, only to lose it 400 years later. That actually happened! But the Rabbi's prophecy continued on,another 100 years after that until 2017. Now under Israeli control in the end times, the totally unexpected will happen.
What that would be, he didn’t say but current prophecy buffs like Mark Blitz and others, have been giving us plenty to think about with Blood Moons and their significance, along with my good friend, Harbinger author, Jonathan Cahn as well as Joel Richardson, and not a few more experts on the issue. In fact there have been a small multitude of predictions for tomorrow, September 23. Time will tell. So we may not even need the problematic plebiscite, but the mentor of Moses or the prompter of Apostle Paul might even surprisingly show up tomorrow, September 23, with a few more clues for 2017.
Prophet Daniel and Yeshua Jesus Himself both predicted that in the end of days there will be trouble like humanity has never seen since time began. Looking at the Mega cyclones, floods, and earthquakes plus the corresponding unprecedented anarchy, we’ve got a good start!
I close with the apology that you have not received a SPIM Bulletin for some 6 months. I had a speaking assignment in Israel, plus a gala Knesset breakfast, plus a number of ICEJ meetings until at the very end when I was hit with a nasty case of shingles. Google said that they could last from 3 to 5 weeks, but I’m almost twice that by now though still improving. I have been amazed at the “shingles alumni” that we have met, including one fellow whose grandfather had it and it lasted for some 18 months of pain, itching and fuzzy thinking.
We return to Jerusalem for about a week in October where I am slated to receive the prestigious Nehemiah Award for blessing Israel in both the South Pacific and Jerusalem. Pray for us—we're a bit tired!
Blessings and Shalom,
