African refugees pouring into Israel: A View from the Israel/Gaza/Egyptian border

The letter below was sent by Aron who is doing IDF reserve duty on the Egyptian border. I would humbly comment that it would be a Kiddush Hashem for the world to see this. Please feel free to pass it on to whomever you please, including to the editors of newspapers.

My name is Aron Adler. I am 25 years old, was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Efrat Israel. Though very busy, I don't view my life as unusual. Most of the time, I am just another Israeli citizen. During the day I work as a paramedic in Magen David Adom, Israel 's national EMS service. A t night, I'm in my first year of law school. I got married this October and am starting a new chapter of life together with my wonderful wife Shulamit.

Fifteen to twenty days out of every year, I'm called up to the Israeli army to do my reserve duty. I serve as a paramedic in an IDF paratrooper unit. My squad is made up of others like me; people living normal lives who step up to serve whenever responsibility calls. The oldest in my squad is 58, a father of four girls and grandfather of two; there are two bankers, one engineer, a holistic healer, and my 24 year old commander who is still trying to figure out what to do with his life. Most of the year we are just normal people living our lives, but for 15-20 days each year we are soldiers on the front lines preparing for a war that we hope we never have to fight.

This year, our reserve unit was stationed on the border between Israel , Egypt and the Gaza Strip in an area called "Kerem Shalom." Above and beyond the "typical" things for which we train - war, terrorism, border infiltration, etc., this year we were confronted by a new challenge. Several years ago, a trend started of African refugees crossing the Egyptian border from Sinai into Israel to seek asylum from the atrocities in Darfur . What started out as a small number of men, women and children fleeing from the machetes of the Janjaweed and violent fundamentalists to seek a better life elsewhere, turned into an organized industry of human trafficking. In return for huge sums of money, sometimes entire life savings paid to Bedouin "guides," these refugees are promised to be transported from Sudan , Eritrea , and other African countries through Egypt and the Sinai desert, into the safe haven of Israel.

We increasingly hear horror stories of the atrocities these refugees suffer on their way to freedom. They are subject to, and victims of extortion, rape, murder, and even organ theft, their bodies left to rot in the desert. Then, if lucky, after surviving this gruesome experience whose prize is freedom, when only a barbed wire fence separates them from Israel and their goal, they must go through the final death run and try to evade the bullets of the Egyptian soldiers stationed along the border. Egypt 's soldiers are ordered to shoot to kill anyone trying to cross the border OUT of Egypt and into Israel . It's an almost nightly event.

For those who finally get across the border, the first people they encounter are Israeli soldiers, people like me and those in my unit, who are tasked with a primary mission of defending the lives of the Israeli people. On one side of the border soldiers shoot to kill. On the other side, they know they will be treated with more respect than in any of the countries they crossed to get to this point.

The region where it all happens is highly sensitive and risky from a security point of view, an area stricken with terror at every turn. It's just a few miles south of the place where Gilad Shalit was kidnapped. And yet the Israeli soldiers who are confronted with these refugees do it not with rifles aimed at them, but with a helping hand and an open heart. The refugees are taken to a nearby IDF base, given clean clothes, a hot drink, food and medical attention. They are finally safe.

Even though I live Israel and am aware through media reports of the events that take place on the Egyptian border, I never understood the intensity and complexity of the scenario until I experienced it myself.
In the course of the past few nights, I have witnessed much. At 9:00 PM last night, the first reports came in of gunfire heard from the Egyptian border. Minutes later, IDF scouts spotted small groups of people trying to get across the fence. In the period of about one hour, we picked up 13 men - cold, barefoot, dehydrated - some wearing nothing except underpants. Their bodies were covered with lacerations and other wounds. We gathered them in a room, gave them blankets, tea and treated their wounds. I don't speak a word of their language, but the look on their faces said it all and reminded me once again why I am so proud to be a Jew and an Israeli. Sadly, it was later determined that the gunshots we heard were deadly, killing three others fleeing for their lives.

During the 350 days a year when I am not on active duty, when I am just another man trying to get by, the people tasked with doing this amazing job, this amazing deed, the people witnessing these events, are mostly young Israeli soldiers just out of high school, serving their compulsory time in the IDF, some only 18 years old.
The refugees flooding into Israel are a heavy burden on our small country. More than 100,000 refugees have fled this way, and hundreds more cross the border every month. The social, economic, and humanitarian issues created by this influx of refugees are immense. There are serious security consequences for Israel as well. This influx of African refugees poses a crisis for Israel . Israel has yet to come up with the solutions required to deal with this crisis effectively, balancing its' sensitive social, economic, and security issues, at the same time striving to care for the refugees.

I don't have the answers to these complex problems which desperately need to be resolved. I'm not writing these words with the intention of taking a political position or a tactical stand on the issue.
I am writing to tell you and the entire world what's really happening down here on the Egyptian/Israeli border. And to tell you that despite all the serious problems created by this national crisis, these refugees have no reason to fear us. Because they know, as the entire world needs to know, that Israel has not shut its eyes to their suffering and pain. Israel has not looked the other way. The State of Israel has put politics aside to take the ethical and humane path as it has so often done before, in every instance of human suffering and natural disasters around the globe. We Jews know only too well about suffering and pain. The Jewish people have been there. We have been the refugees and the persecuted so many times, over thousands of years, all over the world.

Today, when African refugees flood our borders in search of freedom and better lives, and some for fear of their lives, it is particularly noteworthy how Israel deals with them, despite the enormous strain it puts on our country on so many levels.

Our young and thriving Jewish people and country, built from the ashes of the Holocaust, do not turn their backs on humanity. Though I already knew that, this week I once again experienced it firsthand. I am overwhelmed with emotion and immensely proud to be a member of this nation.

How Many Times Do You Forgive Someone?

In Matthew 18 Jesus gives the procedure for dealing with men when they sin. I say men because the passage never refers to women. It is talking about when one man sins against another man. This is obvious in the passage when it is read acurately:

15 "If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother."

16 "But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses."

17 "If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector."

As a pastor I know that if you do this to a woman you crush her spirit and she will never return as long as you hold to a position of condemning her. Unfortunately this passage has been misapplied, and unfortunately I have misapplied it in the past. I have learned that you must make peace with the woman who is offended. No other tactic will work. If you are a man in relationship with a woman you know what I mean. If you have offended your wife or your mother or your sister you know that she will never be 'put in her place' by you. You will not even be able to begin to speak about her faults. She will not hear you nor will you gain an audience. As any man knows the only way back in are gifts, compliments, and humility.

You may think I am taking this a bit too far, you may think that the woman has 'wronged you' in some way, and that justifies your behavior. According to the Bible you have no right to be or even feel offended. The above verse may look like it is speaking about offenses, but it is not. Jesus will clarify this in verse 22. What Matthew 18:15-17 is talking about is a judicial procedure. Evidence is brought out, presented, and acted upon. If the man does not see his fault at first the pressure is mounted up until the man returns or is sent away. We already know that pressure does not soften a woman's heart to listen to the truth. However, it works extremely well on men with this one caveat: The man cannot be someone who gets offended. If the man is offended you might as well be talking to a woman. How do I know this? Because Peter, and you, and I all have the same question which Peter asks here in verse 21:

"Then Peter came up and said to him, 'Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?'"

Peter is a thinker, he is concluding that seven (being the number of completion because God made the heavens and the earth and everything in them in seven days) would signify a completion of the obligation to forgive. After that the man could hold an offense against the one who transgresses the commandments against his brother. Jesus knowing what Peter is thinking responds to him with verse 22:

"Jesus said to him, 'I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.'"

In case you are quick with the math Jesus does not mean 490. He is alluding to what happened in Genesis 4:23-24 with Lamech.

"Lamech said to his wives: 'Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; you wives of Lamech, listen to what I say: I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for striking me.
If Cain's revenge is sevenfold, then Lamech's is seventy-sevenfold.'"

This is saying that when Abel was murdered by Cain he was had complete revenge against Abel. It was Cain's offended attitude that led to his brother's death at his hands. Lamech is saying that he gets revenge for every offense. Cain murdered once (as far as we know). Lamech is a serial murderer. He takes offense at everything and avenges himself each time. He is a picture of complete unforgiveness. So what Jesus is saying to Peter, and all of us, is that men have no right to be offended. Men must be the model of complete never ending forgiveness. This the exact opposite of Lamech. Jesus is undoing the words of Lamech in Genesis for His disciples.

After this Jesus tells the parable of the King and the unforgiving servant. The servant is forgiven his debts, but goes out to persecute the one who owes him money. The King hears of this and refuses to forgive the wicked servant. So Jesus is telling the disciples to never hold an offense against another person.

On the other hand, women get offended. It is a fact of life. Now this is not a negative thing and I am not saying that women should not get offended. This is not a put down to women in any way. God made them this way to reflect His character. Women get offended because God gets offended. It is impossible to not offend God and He will not be 'put in His place'. The only way back is to God is to give gifts, compliments, and show humility, that is the lesson that God is teaching men through the women in their lives. He is teaching men how to approach Him. To the women men are supposed to be the picture of infinite patience, kindness, love, protection, and provision and never offended indignation, or confrontation.

So the upshot is you may correct a man, but a woman may never recover from such an ordeal. Obviously, God knew that because Jesus specifically talks about this using exclusively male pronouns. To say He meant anything else would be taking this passage in Matthew 18 out of context.

Men of faith, can we talk?

It matters not to me whether you are Christian, Messianic, Jewish or whatever! If you are a friend to TORAH, A believer in the God of Israel and not fearful of reading another book, written by a Jewish Rabbi no less, please bother to read, "The Garden Of Peace" by Rabbi Shalom Arush.

I started reading this book last week. The intensity by which this book has grabbed hold of my emotions is unlike anything, that any book of my 52 years has stirred. When I read the first chapter I realized a completely different way to see what a wife is and what she is not. I have been for a week now full of regret, full of remorse and full of agony really, about how men are taught to not see God in the mother of our kids, the help meet. We are taught how not to see women of valor.

I asked a friend this morning, "When you hear the biblical phrase, We are made in the image of often do you picture a woman?" We both agreed, typically we see Adam or the image of a man. This book instantly showed to me that we need to see God when we look at women. In fact we need to realize that God has programmed women to represent him in ways that are not even in the periphery of most husbands and most fathers.

Rabbi Arush warns women not to read this book and with good reason. If a woman needs ammunition in order to kill what men have done to women...this book offers an arsenal of weaponry, an armory of resources that will also kill peace in the home.

Rabbi Arush is showing to me that what and how a man is taught to be a man, how we are taught
to think and how we choose to accept our roles blinds us to who God is in all women. The Bible declares: 

And Yehovah God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him." [Genesis 2:18]

We are servants however, our culture teaches us to be warriors, protectors of our pride so to speak. May God help all women who are victims of this mentality. Oh Father, forgive us, forgive me! We are taught to be offended by the character of God that caused Eve to breath. God is watching us through the eyes of every woman of valor and then he communicates to us his issue with us through....yup, women!

Rabbi Arush caused me to consider and then to acknowledge that our Creator did not conjure Eve or Chava up but rather, he duplicated who he is and placed much of himself into the woman. This is why 'Beauty surrounds her." Sadly, I have never seen God in the difficulty that I have experienced when a married man. I saw a problem that I did not know how to fix...

That is the problem: 

God does not reside in the person of a woman in order for men to realize a problem that needs fixing. In my case and personal story...I have consistently missed the boat. The book that Rabbi Arush has written is showing to me how diametrically opposed to the heart of God men are taught to do life, to be fathers, to be anything at all. The "help meet" presents to us a reflection of God. If we don't even see him then we don't see Abba in the person, character, emotion and strength of women. We only see our failures and as such try to fix the mirror.

My gosh this book is hard to read, hard to face...hard! 

Thank you Father, that I am able to see your deliberate hand working in my life. Forgive me Father for not seeing this in the women that give to me...Life. Forgive me that I have not cherished your protection.

Everyman of faith should read this book. 
For those of us who are divorced or who have moved onto another relationship, this book will echo the fathers heart about why we need to know it's content. If you pick this book up and begin to read it, you will in essence be choosing to accept what God is wanting you to know for such a time as this.

It will help you to have peace in the home, Shalom Bayit. This book will help you to "Correct your soul" or tikkun!

If you're a bit concerned that a Jewish Rabbi wrote this or that some of the terminology, and biblical references might not agree with your biblical understanding, not to worry...they wrote that book too!

 Farrakhan's Hate Speech 'Textbook Example' of Anti-Semitism

Minister Louis Farrakhan, the racist leader of the Nation of Islam, once again echoed the anti-Semitic propaganda of which he has been widely accused.

Speaking to the Nation of Islam’s 82nd annual Savior’s Day celebration in Chicago on Tuesday, he accused Jews of controlling the media and “Zionists” of trying to push American into war with Iran.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) characterized his speech as “a textbook example” of the continuing potency of anti-Semitism and hatred that continues to exist in some segments of society to this day.

He echoed the typical anti-Semitic stereotypes and conspiracy theories, accusing the Jews of controlling the government, media, finance and entertainment but professed that he is “not anti-Semitic,” but rather “just telling the truth.

Addressing the crowd he announced, "I advise white and black America, Hispanic and Asian America, why would you send your children to die in a war engineered by Zionists who love Israel more than they love the United States of America?

"Don't send these children to war for the sake of Israel," he pleaded.

“In 100 years, they control movies, television, recording, publishing, commerce, radio, they own it all. Jewish people were not the origin of Hollywood, but they took it over," Farrakhan claimed.

"Farrakhan's annual address to the Nation of Islam was dripping with anti-Semitism and hatred and should stand as a textbook example of the continuing potency in some circles of anti-Semitism in America," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director.

"Rather than laugh him off the stage, tens of thousands of supporters cheered him on and encouraged his anti-Semitism and bigotry. Not since Father Coughlin have we seen a religious figure so obsessed with anti-Semitism. In the past few years Farrakhan has turned his message and the mission of the Nation of Islam into a wide-ranging campaign to demonize and scapegoat Jews," according to Foxman.

“In addition to Farrakhan’s speech, the convention included a plenary session that sought to demonstrate disproportionate Jewish involvement in the slave trade. The session, titled ‘Business is Warfare: The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews,’ borrowed its name from a set of Nation of Islam books alleging that Jewish exploitation of blacks during the slave trade has caused deep and prolonged repercussions for African Americans,” the ADL reported.

Dead kids are not a News story

I don't have an explanation as to why a child would go into a class room or cafeteria, pull out a gun and kill other kids. This post is not going to offer reason and rational for this.

I am a father, a dad and parent. As I listen to the news reports it is not possible for me to become numb, to accept this as just another horrific incident. Instead, my heart weeps for the families of these students, these children. My thoughts are on their homes, the messy bedrooms, dirty clothes, unfinished chores and dreams never to be finished by these kids. My thoughts are on the funeral arrangements, family members gathering and the costs of having to put a child in the ground or somewhere in a jar above the mantle. Lawyers, doctors, added bills, additional expenses, police investigations and court appointments are now apart of what the fathers, the mothers, sisters and brothers are forced to contend with. A trial, judges and strangers are now scheduled as we all await the news media who will point their cameras at shattered lives in order that we know the rest of the story; justice is demanded.....

What sort of justice brings back the personality, the laughter and charisma of these children?

No prom night, football, or basketball games after school. No more report cards or graduation plans. No more school clothes, holidays, or family reunions; these kids are gone. The sounds of sibling rivalry, household arguments, doors slamming, and heartfelt apologies are silenced. This is what is no longer a part of the world that these fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents must cope with.

My thoughts are on the realities of having to wake up to this nightmare for the rest of these lives. I am a father and my heart simply breaks for what really happens now. The news media, the commentators and everyone else can only epitomize what these families are forced to embrace. My God this is so awful, so very, very awful. I am truly, truly sorry for the loss of these kids and for the children recovering from this hellish attack committed on them.

I do not have sympathy for the shooter, I just don't. This is between him and the God of creation.

We cannot as a people think that this is normal, it is not. If you think that this is becoming common it is because you think it only happens to these people and not to all of us.
Dead kids are not a news story, they are a loss to all of us. Please don't get comfortable with watching the news.

A Memorial Day Conference is coming together at El Shaddai Ministries in Tacoma, Washington

Simply UNBELIEVABLE and or veiled?

How is it that the world cannot see this with crystal clarity? I believe it is because the United states of America is under judgment.

For the believer to not know the Bible and the clarity by which the word of Yehovah has stated "Everlasting Covenant with Israel" is simply UNBELIEVABLE. To see a nation born again, in a day 2000 years later after near annihilation is simply UNBELIEVABLE.

As we legalize same sex marriage, sacrifice our children, celebrate debauchery and greed while living diametrically opposed to the commandments who among us thinks that sudden destruction is not forthcoming?
Those of us who are blind to be sure.

Christ at the checkpoint Conference is un-Holy. 

"Greatness is achieved through humility. In order to acquire torah understanding, one must first be humble, so they will be open to the truth, rather than constantly seeking to defend their own opinion."

What these folks are promoting is not TORAH

On March 5 - 9 Bethlehem Bible College is hosting a conference called "Christ at the Checkpoint" for the second time. The first one was in 2010.

The conference has raised eyebrows among Christian Zionists, Messianic Jews, and the Jewish community in Israel and abroad. Promoters of the conference state on their web site "The aim of Christ at the Checkpoint is to provide an opportunity for evangelical Christians who take the Bible seriously to prayerfully seek a proper awareness of issues of peace, justice, and reconciliation."
On the surface such words sound quite noble. However, Christians who ardently support Israel, have expressed concern that the practical application of them doesn't bode well for Israel.

The question begs, who are the intended beneficiaries of peace, justice and reconciliation? Clearly, not Israel, nor the Jewish people. One also can't help but note of the comment "…evangelical Christians who take the Bible seriously…" This strongly suggests that a Christian who doesn't line up with the conference's interpretation of "peace, justice and reconciliation," doesn't "take the Bible seriously."

With all due respect, there is a vibrant, and growing number of Christians "who take the Bible seriously," yet they see things from a much different perspective. Many consider themselves to be Christian Zionists, who recognize the Jewish people have always been the promise holders of God's plan. They also recognize God gave the Jewish people the land.

In recent years many Christian Zionist pastors, churches and organizations have formed close relations with Jews. They have shown support for Israel and the Jewish people by organizing tours, conducting events where Jews and Christian speak, as well as attend. They've also donated large sums of money to Israel. I suspect if you ask one of them they would most likely say not only do they take the Bible
seriously, they firmly believe the Christ at the Checkpoint conference organizers are revising what the Bible says in order to promote their anti-Israel agenda.

For example, it's a known fact the majority of Christians, including Palestinian Christians, embrace replacement theology. However, those who "take the Bible seriously," know there is nothing in it which says the Jewish people have been replaced by the "church." In fact Paul, says in Romans 11:1 "did God reject his own people? Heaven forbid!" Yet the conference organizers reject the Jewish people as God's promise holders.

Another goal of the conference is seeking "justice" when it comes to the land. They support "Palestinians and Jews to living together in harmony, either in two separate states or in one state," according to an online position statement. "Two separate states," means dividing the land, and creating a state in Judea/Samaria where according to current Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, "there will be no room for a single Jew." Serious Bible students know this is the very land where Abraham stood when God told him "look all around you from where you are, to the north, the south, the east and the west. All the land you see I will give to you and your descendants forever…" [Genesis 13:14-15] There are over 100 separate references of the land belonging to the Jewish people in the Bible. The Bible also makes clear God will "enter into judgment…for my people, my heritage Israel, [for] dividing my land." [Joel 3:2]

The reference to living in one state refers to the so-called 'right of return.' This would bring millions of Palestinian Arabs into Israel tipping the demographics to an Arab majority, thus putting the Jewish people in the minority in the very land God gave them as an "everlasting possession."
Many Christians believe the aim of the conference is to mount a full assault against Christian Zionism and those who stand with Israel.

Further evidence supporting this is the connection between the conference organizers and the World Council of Churches. This is an organization of 350 Christian denominations, claiming a worldwide membership of over 500 million.  One of this groups positions papers, The Kairos Document is a study topic on the Christ at the Checkpoint schedule. The document contains the following quote:
"we know that certain theologians try to attach a biblical and theological legitimacy to the infringement of our rights. Thus, the promises, according to their interpretation, have become a menace to our very existence."
How does one misinterpret over 100 biblical references indicating the land was given by God to the Jewish people, or what Paul stated clearly in Romans 11:1? Yet the quote from a document central to the conference agenda would render the actual words from the Bible as a "menace to [their] very existence."
Make no mistake about it, this conference is an attempt to delegitimize Israel's existence, and promote replacement theology, under the guise of being in line with the will and purposes of God. Serious Bible students should not be misled by such words as "peace, justice, and reconciliation."

In the 1960's the well-known songwriter Bob Dylan penned a ballad called "With God on Our Side." The message was about justifying many unjust actions while claiming to have God on their side.
Ironically, a film of the same name will be shown at the conference. Yet it's message is accusing Israel of acting unjustly "with God on our side."  Since the conference is refuting the words of the Bible and calling them an "infringement of [their] rights," one can't help but wonder if they truly understand the message of Dylan's song. I think not.

A few weeks ago a highly influential Church of England vicar, Stephen Sizer, promoted a website that supports Holocaust denial and warns of a Zionist conspiracy controlling the world. Reverend Sizer just received the support of the Bishop of Guildford Sizer, Reverend Christopher Hill, a former chaplain to the Queen, following calls for him to be suspended for linking to the site.

Sizer used his Facebook page to link to the piece on American website The Ugly Truth, which claims to highlight “Zionism, Jewish extremism and a few other nasty items making our world uninhabitable today.” The site also runs cartoons of Holocaust deniers and supports Iran president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The Bishop of Willesden was suspended in 2010 after using his Facebook page to make inappropriate gossip remarks about the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. But in the face of such blatant anti-Jewish hatred, the Church of England took Sizer’s side.
The case is severe because Anglicanism is not just another Protestant denomination; rather, it’s the official UK Church headed by the Queen. Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, is the spiritual head of 77 million Christians worldwide.

Sizer promoted boycotts of companies on the basis that they “channel their profits to the Zionist agenda.” Sizer’s book, “Christian Zionism: Road-map to Armageddon?”, which has been endorsed by leading British and American bishops, rejects the eternalness of God’s promises to the Jewish people and revives the obscurantist anti-Jewish theology known as “supersessionism.”

‘Israel an illegal regime’

Sizer’s case is not isolated. In 2006 the UK Church reviewed its investments in companies with ties to Israel’s presence in the territories. Bishop Riah El-Assal, the Anglican Bishop in Jerusalem, is a well-known apologist for Palestinian terrorism. Anglican cleric Naim Ateek is the founder of the notoriously anti-Israel, Jerusalem-based Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Center, which promotes a theology severing any link between God and the Jews.

Sizer is one of the major organizers of the “Christ at the Checkpoint 2012 Conference,” which the Bible College of Bethlehem will host in March. The impressive range of theologians and pastors from churches located in the United States make the gravity of the upcoming conference and Sizer’s important position much clearer. Samuel Rodriguez, President of the US National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, “spiritual adviser” to Bill Clinton Tony Campolo, and President of the World Evangelical Alliance and Asia Evangelical Alliance, Sang-Bok David Kim, will all attend the event.

The “Bethlehem Call” manifesto, which serves as platform for the Bethlehem 2012 Conference, has just been published on the websites of the World Council of Churches, the Global Ministries of the United Church of Christ and the Disciples of Christ. It defines Israel as an “illegal regime” and a “crime against humanity” and promotes “international boycott, divestment and sanctions campaigns” against Israel.
In the words of UK columnist Melanie Phillips, these are “Christians who hate the Jews.”

Many UK clerics are now saying openly that the Jewish State should never have been founded at all. In 1190, British Christians slaughtered York’s Jews after calling them “serpens antiquus qui vocatur Diabolus et Satans.” Now their Intifada from Heaven is breathing new life into a kind of demonology that bans Israel from the family of nations.

Black Pastors, Ministers, Bishops: A Personal Invitaion
[I will continue to write hard, challenging and at times very difficult blog posts directed at Christianity and the church. We are in trouble, the color of skin has very little to do with anything. If you cling to your color, you are ineffective in the Kingdom. Today, I hope to appeal to your spirit]

I continue to speak with Black Pastors, Black Ministers, Black Bishops, Ministry leaders and folks within my community asking please, please "RETURN TO THE BEGINNING." I can unequivocally agree with my friend Pastor Michael Stevens concerning the day to day difficulty of our nations Black Pastors. Pastor Stevens recently asked the question, "With all the issues facing black churches who has time to consider Israel? I understand his sentiment believe me I do however, what YEHOVAH is doing is all about this nation in these hours..Trust me, YOU NEED TO MAKE time.

It's difficult to do what Pastors do, black, white, whatever. For the Pastor who absolutely is committed to knowing the God of the Bible, that person is facing an onslaught of just about every issue known to fallen man. Life is hard and getting much, much, much worse. What is actually happening is biblical, we ain't seen nothing yet! True to form, YHVH is making away for all of us and he is returning many of us back to his manner of doing everything [if we are willing to hear and then do, or HEAR & then OBEY.]

Nevertheless, when YHVH placed it upon my heart to say to the willing, "Un-Color Yourself" he did so because he wants us to see what Israel is and why the Messiah is returning to this people. This fact alone is standout prophecy but, we miss a major connection namely, our Messiah is connected to this people. I will continue to try to connect all of us back to Israel based on my changed heart. I do not see Israel's failures as a determinant reason to practice antisemitism anymore than I see all of our failures as a reason to practice racism  What was shown to me is so amazingly different than anything we think concerning Israel. I know that when believers practice this sort of deception they simply serve the god of the gentile system.

Millions of Jews do not believe in the deity of the Messiah's 1st coming but they believe in the God of Israel. Therefore, get over the disconnect that has caused the blood of God's people to scream out of the earth. Million of whom are of every race. Yahweh created the nations and he did so from the seed of Abraham. This was done as a result of GRACE shown to Noah. None of us are perfect, not one!

I could spend hours sharing what is now definitive, a very deep, integral part of who I am today. It breaks my heart to see Christians raise up against Israel and the Jewish people. These folks are condemning themselves and they do not know it. My difficulty is that within the black community and due to recent history [approximately the last 600 years] many don't know the history of Israel or see the hand of YHVH in how he is leading this nation into becoming his Kingdom on earth. HE does not do this from a raced based mentality. Many think that God was not involved in the slave trade and yet he delivered many from it. First from 1400 years of Islamic slavery and also from 600 years of Western civilization which also practice the slave trades. He used people of faith.....and certainly the Jews

HE does not want our skin color to continue to be the lie that deceives.

The birth of Israel in 1948 was as big as was Moses leading the descendants of Jacob/Israel out of Egypt. The birth, life, death and resurrection of Yeshua is the most notable occurrence in comparison . All three are possibly the biggest events in human history [after the flood.] Keeping in mind that the birth of a fleshly Messiah was not his beginning just his time to follow the plan set into motion by God. Israel believed God, this is why the story continues. The story that is within the story sadly, is not known by much of Western Christianity. This is certainly true in what we are seeing over the last 100 years...Men are marrying men and black children are sacrificed within the black community faster than we can breath. The Sodom & Gomorrah mentality of men is alive and doing quite well. God gave Israel over to the lust of the flesh..He has done so with Christianity as well. We are staring at judgment while pointing a finger at Israel.

Black folk, allow me to speak into your heart. We have truly lost our way when we follow a man of color as opposed to the "King of the Jews!"

Remember, as a result of the birth of the nation of Israel, we now have a written record of the plan of Elohim, we have a redeemer, "The Lion of the Tribe of Judah", and we have the rebirth of Israel; a "Born Again" nation....

Genesis 26:4-5
I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; because Abraham obeyed Me and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My laws.” The Biblical theme of Hearing and Obeying did not stop at the cross. The Bible is a record of what YHVH poured into one people, one nation and he is returning to this people and this nation. He is coming for a kazillion reasons but two of the most provocative reason is to stop the world powers from killing all of his people and destroying his inheritance. He is to inherit Gaza and all of Southern Israel. He is a descendant of Judah right, and Judah was given all of this land right?...God does not change and he sure is not going to deny his son. Why do any one of us think "Inheritance" is a huge part of how YHVH set up his nation? Read Joshua 15

So who, what & why is Israel?

The prophet Jeremiah declares the Gentile has inherited lies. Well who did we inherit the lies from? How can we sit in judgment of Israel while we have a plank in our own eye?
O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come to you from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit. Jeremiah 16:19

Rabbi Shaul confirms this in Romans 1:24-25 
Wherefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts unto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves: for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Sin is a curse on all generations and all people. If Israel did not have Grace, we would not know the Disciples. Folks, the Bible is written to the Hebrews and they were commanded to teach us...They did, this is why you have a book of that record. The record or account of the plan of Yahweh is presented to all of us via the nation of Israel.  

Romans 1:1 I say then, did God cast off his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

Regardless of Israel's failures YHVH did not toss his people under the bus. He did let them go there own way BUT, HE DID NOT CHANGE. The covenants that were made with Israel are still in play folks. Therefore, Yahweh did not switch his promise from Israel to Gentile believers..YHVH is fulfilling his promise to ISRAEL, certainly to Abraham.

Joel 3:9-12 Proclaim ye this among the nations; prepare war; stir up the mighty men; let all the men of war draw near, let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning-hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.  Haste ye, and come, all ye nations round about, and gather yourselves together: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Yehovah. Let the nations bestir themselves, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat; for there will I sit to judge all the nations round about.

Zechariah 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Zechariah 14:2-3 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall Yehovah go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Why am I writing this? Pastor Michael Stevens will tell you that Yahweh told him to "Bless Israel" This beloved man's whole life has changed as a result. He is now asking Black folks to come and learn truth, not what we have inherited. Insofar as we are called differently...I understand what Pastor Stevens is doing. I understand what Christians United for Israel is doing...I understand what El Shaddai Ministries is doing....I understand what Yahweh is doing. He has placed into my spirit a calling, "Un-Color Yourselves" so that YOU can see why you must bless Israel as well......Remember, the folks that Yahweh put back into the land in 1948 up until this very day are of every race........
So, if these are fake Jews Yahweh would therefore be a liar. Who among you is willing to cast that stone? The religious mentality of men obscures the deliberate actions of Elohim.....

Slouching towards Bethlehem

In response to "Christ at the Checkpoint (A group of Christians who do not understand much about scripture certainly the Hebraic reality of the Bible) My friend, Victor Sharpe has a few things to share as well.

Slouching towards Bethlehem

No, the title of this article does not refer to W.B. Yeat’s poem nor to the foul and evil figure of the Antichrist found in the Book of Revelation. But it does refer to a wicked presence soon to be found in the ancient Jewish village of Bethlehem in the territory of Judea – or what the world prefers to now call by the name given to it during the illegal 19 year old Jordanian occupation of the Jewish biblical and ancestral heartland of Judea and Samaria: The West Bank.
As Mark Tooley writes in the conservative webpage, FRONTPAGEMAG.COM, liberal Christians who increasingly embrace the the so=called progressive Left and who have named their anti-Israel organization - ‘Christ at the Checkpoint’ - are planning to hold a “jamboree at the birthplace of Jesus” on March 5th to the 8th. Their object is to identify Jesus with the Arabs – overwhelmingly Muslim - who call themselves Palestinians in Bethlehem, even as that once mostly Christian Arab town endures Muslim domination under the Palestinian Authority; a domination decidedly onerous towards the followers of Christ.
Mr. Toomey refers to a spokesman for ‘Christ at the Checkpoint’ who, “promises it will challenge the “theology of the land” and the “end times” beliefs of pro-Israel Christians, while advocating a “theology of peace.” But, Toomey asks, “will this theology of peace also challenge Islamists and Palestinian nationalists who reject Israel’s existence or any future for Jews or Christians outside of subjugation?”
And how supremely ironic that these same Christian clerics and assorted activists while beating up the Jewish state, in which the Christian community alone in the Middle East is growing, ignore the horrific and ongoing persecution of Christians throughout the Muslim world, yet utter not a word in protest. Oh, and let us not forget that the checkpoints are there purely to prevent Palestinian Arab terrorists from bringing bombs to deliberately kill Jewish civilians in Israeli towns and villages.
According to John Toomey, among those attending the anti-Israel hate-fest (for that is what it clearly is despite all deceitful denials from the organizers and attendees) will be, “evangelist Tony Campolo (former spiritual counselor to Bill Clinton), Florida mega-church pastor Joel Hunter (board member of National Association of Evangelicals and spiritual counselor to President Obama), Chicago mega-church co-founder Lynne Hybels of Willow Creek Community, and anti-war activist Shane Claiborne of The Simple Way in Philadelphia.”
Alex Awad, of Bethlehem Bible College, a missionary supported by the United Methodist Church, responding to accusations that the ‘jamboree’ is not only anti-Zionist but anti-Jewish said: “I totally and absolutely reject this accusation,” insisting that, “Christ at the Checkpoint merely wants Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace and harmony. We are not anti-Semitic – we are not against Jewish people.” But Awad did admit that, “there may be some criticism of Israel. No doubt”
Well, no doubt indeed. The obsession of solely attacking the Jewish state while ignoring human rights abuses rampant in the Arab and Muslim world reveals how hollow the claims are of these leftwing Christian participants in their murkily named, ‘Christ at the Checkpoint.’ For it is Israel which has demonstrated over and over again an overwhelming yearning for peace and has made endless one sided concessions to the Arabs who call themselves Palestinians but has in return received from those same Arabs; murder, endless aggression, and crimes against humanity.
Explaining how Israel’s repeated concessions and desire for peace has been relentlessly rebuffed by the overwhelmingly Muslim Palestinian Authority and the PLO will, alas, fall upon deaf ears. The fact is that the obsessive attacks upon the embattled Jewish state by the jamboree’s participants do indeed mark them as anti-Semitic.
Perhaps they would do well to harken to the words of none other than Martin Luther King. He saw the thin veneer of anti-Jewish prejudice wrapped in criticism of the Zionist cause for what it is. He explicitly said that: “Anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism.” 
In other words, anti-Zionism and anti-Israel bias is an elitist way of masking intolerance, even genocidal intolerance towards Jews, while making it socially acceptable to seek annihilation of the Jewish state and its people. And this is the precise function that the term anti-Zionism serves today. 
Mr. Toomey suggests in his article that within the warped mindset of many of those attending the jamboree in PA occupied Bethlehem they would believe that, “a Texas Baptist who believes God blesses the Jews is more culpable for the Middle East conflict than a Hamas supporting Islamist or Hezbollah’s Nasrallah who believes Allah wants to drive the Jews into the sea.Such a shameful belief must make the very angels in heaven weep.
There are, indeed, many highly unpleasant and hateful participants, primarily radical leftists, progressives and neo-Marxists, who will be slouching towards Bethlehem while employing the name of the Jewish Jesus to demonize the Jews and the Jewish state.
Perhaps it is most apt to characterize their arrival and attendance at the event in the words of Shakespeare: “Something wicked this way comes.”

3) Please present to me the Jewish men who have boarded commercial airliners in order to kill thousand of Americans.
4) Please present to me the folks in the Israeli government who lob missiles into all of the Green area above in order to rid the Arabs of the land surrounding the nation of Israel. 
5) Please present to me the Israeli scientists who are feverishly developing weapons of mass destruction so as to kill another part of humanity.
6) Please present to me the ancient Kings and Queens of ancient Palestinian heritage.
7) Please present to me the historical contributions to our world communities that are  direct result of  Palestinian ingenuity.
8) Please present to me the historical commitment to peace that the Palestinian people are directly heralded for.
9) Please present to me a record of historical academic, philosophical and archeological contributions of the Palestinian people over the last 1200 years

10) Why did Emperor Hadrian rename Israel Phillistia or Palestine in the year 137 A.D?

Stand for truth!

It would appear to anyone who cares to filter through the propaganda that Israel can clearly defend its existence and right to do so on every level and for nearly 4000 years.
From a Biblical perspective a promise is just that...a promise:

The Judeo-Christian divide

The road to true Christian-Jewish reconciliation starts with Christian repentance

One of the most difficult issues for Christians and Jews to navigate is how to relate to each other while the proverbial 800 pound gorilla is in the room.

What's the 800-pound gorilla? The desire on the part of Christians to evangelize Jews, and the sensitivity Jews have about uninvited conversion efforts. As one Jew eloquently stated several years ago, "Christians have to understand Jews did not volunteer to become participants in the final act of a play they didn't write."

Serious Christians, many of whom have a genuine love of the Jewish people, might consider doing something important if they wish to develop a meaningful, or in many cases a better relationship with Jews. They should consider repentance.

Repenting for the centuries of misunderstanding, abuse, expulsions, and the Holocaust would be an excellent starting point. Doing the same for anti-Semitism and replacement theology would be recommended as well.
Something else Christians should consider is to stop looking at Jews through their own agenda based eyes. Jews should be accepted and loved for who they are, and the unique role they have in God's plan for humanity.

They should not be looked upon merely as conversion targets. If a Jew senses this the 800 pound gorilla will immediately appear.

It seems far too many Christians have either forgotten or haven't been taught about some important contributions from the Jews that have had great mutual significance. For example, it is the Jews God chose to reveal himself to.
Jews are not ‘lost’
Moreover, it is the Jews whom God established the Sabbath through, which is Saturday rather than Sunday. A thorough search of both Bibles reveals it was never changed to Sunday. The Catholic Church brought about the change to Sunday in the fourth century, as part of a growing effort by the fledgling religion as it steadily moved away from its birth as a sect of Judaism.

Contrary to what most Christians and many Jews have been taught, Jesus (a Jew, whose given name was Yeshua Ben Yosef) did not abolish Torah. Another noteworthy point is that almost all of Christianity's doctrine is based on the writings of Paul, whose real name is Saul, who lived his entire life as a Jewish Pharisee and steadfastly considered himself a Jew, in spite of the Church's effort to portray him as a convert to Christianity.
Given these facts, one could make a strong case that without the Jews Christianity wouldn't exist.
It would also be mutually beneficial if Christians developed a more objective and respectful understanding of what Jews have contributed to the world, rather than simply looking upon them as “lost.”

With more than 1,800 years of persecution and death having been perpetrated against Jews by Christians, it should be understandable that Jews are skeptical, hesitant, or resistant about entering into a relationship with a Christian, especially if they sense said Christian is singularly interested in converting them to the very religion responsible for long years of persecution against them.

In the final analysis, while there may not be a cookie cutter solution to improved relations, it seems the most appropriate starting point is Christian repentance. If that is done with sincerity and received accordingly, the 800-pound gorilla will become the size of a pigmy.  

Black Apatheid, Biblical Ignorance, and Brain Dead College Kids!

I often ask Africans, what do you think of the term "African American" I have submitted this question to hundreds of folks who live in Africa. Apartheid was a system of racial segregation enforced by the National Party governments of South Africa between 1948 and 1994, under which the rights of the majority non-white inhabitants of South Africa were curtailed and white supremacy and Afrikaner minority rule was maintained. Apartheid was developed after World War II by the Afrikaner-dominated National Party and Broederbond organizations and was practiced also in South West Africa, which was administered by South Africa under a League of Nations mandate (revoked in 1966), until it gained independence as Namibia in 1990.
Racial segregation in South Africa began in colonial times. However, apartheid as an official policy was introduced following the general election of 1948. New legislation classified inhabitants into four racial groups ("native", "white", "coloured", and "Asian"),[1] and residential areas were segregated, sometimes by means of forced removals. Non-white political representation was completely abolished in 1970, and starting in that year black people were deprived of their citizenship, legally becoming citizens of one of ten tribally based self-governing homelands called bantustans, four of which became nominally independent states. The government segregated education, medical care, beaches, and other public services, and provided black people with services inferior to those of white people.[2]
Apartheid sparked significant internal resistance and violence as well as a long trade embargo against South Africa.[3] Since the 1950s, a series of popular uprisings and protests were met with the banning of opposition and imprisoning of anti-apartheid leaders. As unrest spread and became more violent, state organisations responded with increasing repression and state-sponsored violence.
Reforms to apartheid in the 1980s failed to quell the mounting opposition, and in 1990 President Frederik Willem de Klerk began negotiations to end apartheid,[4] culminating in multi-racial democratic elections in 1994, which were won by the African National Congress under Nelson Mandela. The vestiges of apartheid still shape South African politics and society.

The following video will not show to you black Africans firing rockets into white South Africa. It will not show to you black mothers strapping bombs onto their children in order to kill other children. This video will not show to you children with disabilities forced to where plastic explosives into playgrounds in order to kill other children. The following video will not show to you black mothers or fathers wearing bombs in order to kill innocent people. This video below will not show to you trains, buses and airplanes blown up by black Africans in order to kill and murder innocent people. The film does not have groups of black men boarding planes in order to fly them into building killing over 3000 people.

How many of you young college students would live under these conditions?

If you are an American college student who supports the nonsense on display across the country, I personally feel sorry for your mindless, easily beguiled, drone mentality that has cause you to not know truth.

I am an American who was born in the 1950's God wanted me to be black in skin color but, he insisted on my being a child of his KINGDOM. I saw the race riots, lived through the dogs and the police brutality. I saw what Apartheid felt like, looked like and was to our generation. I also saw the Jews standing shoulder to shoulder with our community. They were the owners of the corner stores that feed my family. They were the owners of the shoes stores, and other businesses that were dotted in my ghetto....They were the ones that said to my mom..."pay us next week, if you can!" These are the folks who came into our neighborhoods when the corporations would not.

If you are Christian...please watch the following in particularly the 2nd half. If you are a Christian who does not understand Israel....YOU are in need of repentance:
