THE ELIJAH PRAYER ARMY
Prayer Alert 12-02, Jan 27, 2012 / Sh´vat 3, 5772

I will make them one nation on the mountains of Israel
Mountains of Israel
"The word of the LORD came to me: Son of man, take a stick of wood and write on it, ‘Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him.’ Then take another stick of wood, and write on it, ‘Ephraim’s stick, belonging to Joseph and all the house of Israel associated with him.’ Join them together into one stick so that they will become one in your hand… I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. (Ezek 37:15-17,22)
Whatever is involved in the fulfillment of this promise, we can be certain of one thing: God has promised that He will do something very powerful with His people on the mountains of Israel. That is why there is such a battle for this area and why we need to pray for God’s will to be done on these mountains.
Very few promises in the Bible talk about the Sharon plain around Tel Aviv and Netanya, where most of the Israelis live today. Most of the promises have to do with the mountains of Israel. The prophecies in Ezekiel 35, 36, 37, 38 and 39 all deal with the mountains of Israel. It says specifically about the enemy in Ezekiel 39:4, On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you.” What a promise to hold on to in prayer!
Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zechariah and the other prophets all speak about the powerful things that God will do on the mountains of Israel. It was on the mountains of Israel that God entered into covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The mountains of Israel are located around what is called the Highway of the Patriarchs from Elon Moreh in the north to Be’er Sheva in the south. This is the area where all the patriarchs sojourned in the Land and built their altars. It is what Ezekiel 36:2 calls “the ancient heights” – the heartland of Israel.
Over 80% of this area is today referred to in the media as “the West Bank.” It is exactly where the nations of the world want to establish a Muslim Palestinian state and where the most intense spiritual battle in the world is raging today. This Prayer Alert is written to give all of you a vision to not only pray specifically for the mountains of Israel, but also to take action. The last anti-Semitic act of the nations will be to rob these mountains from the people of Israel. According to Joel God will judge all nations over this issue. It certainly is not a trivial matter in His eyes.
In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.” (Joel 3:1-2)
The First Zionists
Telaviv
Tel Aviv
Most of the first Zionists, who pioneered the Land of Israel one hundred years ago, were secular Jews. They were mostly either socialists or communists. Many of them were atheists. Most of these early pioneers settled not on the mountains of Israel, but in the plains around Tel Aviv and around the Sea of Galilee. They wanted to create a Jewish state similar to all other states in the world. Theodore Herzl, the father of the Zionist movement, believed that when that happened, anti Semitism in the world would cease.
Herzl was wrong. Anti Semitism is stronger today than it has ever been. One century after Herzl, many of the descendants of the early Zionist pioneers are disillusioned. Their Zionistic zeal is gone. They have become what is called post Zionists. The moral fruit has been catastrophic. Tel Aviv has become the gay capitol of the world. In a recent survey by GayCities.com and American Airlines, 43 % of the respondents voted for Tel Aviv, as the world’s “Best Gay Travel Destination.” New York came second with 14 %, followed by Toronto 7 %, Sao Paulo 6 %, Madrid and London 5 % each and New Orleans and Mexico City 4 %.
After 1967
After the Six Day War in 1967, when the mountains of Israel once again came under Israeli rule, a new religious Zionism began to sprout. This happened among people with a deep faith in the covenant God made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and they are very zealous to settle the land that was promised to their fathers, especially the heartland on the mountains of Israel.
Unlike the first Zionists, who wanted to be just like the nations, these religious Zionist Jews are very eager to faithfully obey all of God’s commandments. Today they make up the majority of the Jews who have moved to the settlements on the mountains of Israel.
These religious Zionists are the most nationalistic of all Israelis and among the most dedicated soldiers in the Israeli army, enlisting in the elite combat units. They are also, together with the Ultra Orthodox, the fastest growing population in the Middle East, including the Muslims. Their growing influence in Israel has begun to make, not only world politicians, but also the secular population in Israel very uneasy.
In the past few months the tension between the secular and the religious Jews in Israel has reached unprecedented levels, almost to the point of civil war. The powerful left wing media in Israel, centered in Tel Aviv, feels their influence threatened by the fast growing religious population. With the help of organizations funded by particularly governments in Europe, the left wing media in Israel have crafted sensational stories in order to stir up hatred against the religious. The sad thing is that their tactic is working, at least temporarily. For the first time since the last national elections, the left wing parties in Israel are now growing again in the polls.

Powerful Promises
Jeremiah 31:4-6 says about the mountains of Israel,
Vineyard
Vineyard in Samaria
I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt, O Virgin Israel. Again you will take up your tambourines and go out to dance with the joyful. Again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria;the farmers will plant them and enjoy their fruit. There will be a day when watchmen cry out on the hills of Ephraim,
‘Come, let us go up to Zion, to the LORD our God.’”
The Hebrew word that is used in the Hebrew original in verse 6 and translated as ‘watchmen’ is the word notzrim. This is the word that has been used among the Jewish people since the days of the Apostles to describe followers of Yeshua, see Acts 24:5! Notzrim is usually translated as Nazarenes in English Bibles. It is the word that Jews today use for Christians. Jeremiah says that one day Israel will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria and that notzrim (Christians) will join them, crying out,
”Come, let us go up to Zion, to the LORD our God.”
This is actually happening today, as Jewish vineyards are springing up all over Samaria and followers of Yeshua with a passion for Zion are joining them! Prophecies spoken by the prophets of old, thousands of years ago, are coming to pass before our very eyes. It says in Isaiah 61:4-5,
They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. Aliens will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.”
Bethel, Shilo, Ofrah and many other places on the mountains of Israel that were devastated thousands of years ago are being rebuilt again today by God fearing, Zionistic Jews. And foreigners, Christians from the nations, are helping them just like Isaiah foretold thousands of years ago. We cannot relate everything that is going on in this Prayer Alert, but only want to say that an awesome work of God is taking place right now on the mountains of Israel and we need to undergird this in much prayer. Jews and a new breed of Christians, who not only believe the covenants and promises God gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but who also love God’s Torah are today finding each other on the mountains of Israel in fulfillment of prophecy.
Last year HaYovel Ministries mobilized 300 volunteers from the nations who helped to harvest over 300 tons of grapes on the mountains of Israel (see www.hayovel.com). We need to pray for their holy work to grow.
The nations who are in uproar against the God of Israel together with secular Jews who want to be like the nations, want to create “a two state solution” with a Palestinian, Moslem state on the mountains of Israel. The Palestinians, including Mahmoud Abbas, have openly declared that their intent is to completely cleanse the mountains of Israel of all Jews. The “two state solution” is truly a diabolical agenda. It is time to pray and stand up and act for the mountains of Israel! This is where the battle is raging more than anywhere else today!
The House of Joseph
Let’s look in more detail at the interesting prophecy about the mountains of Israel in Ezekiel 37.
The word of the LORD came to me: Son of man, take a stick of wood and write on it, ‘Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him.’ Then take another stick of wood, and write on it, ‘Ephraim’s stick, belonging to Joseph and all the house of Israel associated with him.’ Join them together into one stick so that they will become one in your hand… I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms… My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever.’” (Ez 37:15-17, 22, 24-25)
This prophecy mentions the house of Judah, the Jewish people, being joined to the house of Joseph and that it will take place on the mountains of Israel. Joseph, who was rejected by his own brothers, thrown in a pit and sold to Egypt, but became their Savior, is one of the clearest pictures we have in the Bible of the Messiah Yeshua. It says about his followers in Hebrews 3:6, “And we are his house.”
We are the house of Yeshua pictured prophetically in the prophecy in Ezekiel 37 as Joseph’s son Ephraim. God says,
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am going to take the stick of Joseph—which is in Ephraim’s hand—and of the Israelite tribes associated with him, and join it to Judah’s stick, making them a single stick of wood, and they will become one in my hand.” (Ez 37:19)
Manasseh and Ephraim were born by Joseph while he was estranged from his brothers in Egypt, just like Yeshua have gotten many sons or followers in the nations while he has been removed from his own people. When Jacob met Joseph, he adopted Ephraim and Manasseh as his own sons together with Reuben and Simeon, just like Paul explains in Romans 11:17 that gentiles who believe in Yeshua have been grafted into Abraham’s, Isaac’s and Jacob’s family tree. In the end of days the sons of Yeshua from the nations, will become one with the house of Judah, the Jewish people. And it will happen on the mountains of Israel.
Benjamin was the only one of Jacob’s sons that was not involved in the betrayal of Joseph. He is a prophetic picture of the Messianic Jews who follow Yeshua. In the same way Ephraim is a prophetic picture of the followers of Yeshua among the Gentiles in the end times. This does not mean that they are physical descendants of Ephraim, any more than Messianic Jews are physical descendants of Benjamin.
Paul, who persecuted the followers of Yeshua, is an example of the Torah zealous Jews in the last days, who will have an encounter with their Messiah. He wrote, in 1 Corinthians 15:7-9,
then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles; and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also. For I am the least of the apostles, and not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.” (NASB)
Paul says that he was born untimely because he is a pattern for all of his Torah observant brothers who will come to faith in Yeshua in the last generation through a divine revelation, just like Judah was reconciled to his brother Joseph. Paul explained this further in his letter to Timothy,
Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief… But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Messiah Yeshua might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.” (1 Tim 1:13,16)
Paul is an example of how Torah observant Jews will receive Yeshua in the end times.
Our Responsibility Today
Settlers
Jewish settlers
Just like Stephen forgave and blessed those who, under Paul’s oversight, stoned him to death, we need to bless the precious Torah zealous Jewish settlers today on the mountains of Israel. These people are hated more and more today by the whole world, including many of their own people.
The cruel Gaza deportation in 2006, of nearly ten thousand Jews from their own homes was not a onetime event. It is actually being repeated in several places today even under the present Israeli government. Here are a few articles with information about what is going on:
It seems like the settlers are denied the most basic human rights when the police brake into their homes in the middle of the night without warning and they are forced to leave within minutes with their babies and small children. Their homes are then razed to the ground and all their possessions are destroyed. To add salt to injury the police and the military have lately begun to hire neighboring Arabs to destroy the homes of the Jewish settlers. This is more like the way that fascist governments treat their citizens, rather than what is the norm in a civilized, democratic society.
Recently some settlers received information that the border police and the military were on their way to raze a hilltop settlement. They used their cell phones to call for help to save their homes. Some of the young men went overboard and invaded the nearest military base vandalizing some of the vehicles and other equipment. The demonstration worked in that it stopped the planned destruction of their homes, but it caused a national uproar in Israel.
These kinds of violent protests against the military unfortunately occur basically every week in Israel by Arabs and left wing protesters, without any reaction in the media, at least not against the protesters. Rather the opposite! In this case, however, the left wing media and all the politicians on the left went into a complete frenzy. Some politicians said that the protesters should be treated as a terrorist organization and that the military should have used live ammunition against them. Prime Minister Netanyahu called together an emergency meeting and issued a statement that the strictest measures will be taken against these kinds of protests. Some of the young settlers who had alerted their friends of the planned evacuation were later arrested and put in prison accused of espionage, the most serious crime any citizen can commit against their own state.
The Supreme Court in Israel has now sentenced a settlement with about 50 families in Samaria called Migron to be razed to the ground before March 31. This settlement was established with the support of the government several years ago. Last year some Arabs, aided by Israeli left wing organizations and funded by foreign governments, claimed that they own the land on which the settlement is built. The Supreme Court then ordered the settlement to be destroyed, issuing a decree that all land that is not state property is automatically private Arab property.
The settlers protested and demanded that the Arabs show proof of their ownership. No such proof has been given. Instead the Arabs withdrew their complaint since the Supreme Court has already ordered the settlement to be destroyed anyway. Some government members has proposed a new law that a settlement that has existed for at least four years and has at least 20 families cannot be destroyed. If it has been built illegally on private land, the owners will instead be compensated if they can prove ownership.
This is a fair law and has a majority backing in the government. It would save Migron if it passes, but Prime Minister Netanyahu has so far refused to bring it up for a vote before March 31. He has instead offered a compromise to move the settlement, but the settlers do not want their homes on the mountaintop that they have lived in for several years to be destroyed. They don’t want their life’s work to be destroyed. This week Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom visited Migron and said that the community must be allowed to stay. We know that Netanyahu is under heavy pressure from the nations to stop all settlement activity. The world is demanding that Israel is serious about making peace with terrorists by destroying the homes of their own citizens. It is ugly!! Here is a YouTube showing what the Israeli peace partners want to do http://www.youtube.com
Read here the latest information about Migron http://www.israelnationalnews.com
Migron occurs twice in the Bible. In 1 Sam 14 Migron is the place where Saul and his troops were camping when the Philistines began to make raiding attacks against Israel. Migron is also mentioned in Isaiah 10 in connection with the battle against “the Assyrian”, a title referring to the anti-messiah in the end times. It is a message of hope, that soon God’s wrath will be turned from his people against “the Assyrian.”
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD of hosts, ‘O My people who dwell in Zion, do not fear the Assyrian who strikes you with the rod and lifts up his staff against you, the way Egypt did. For in a very little while My indignation against you will be spent and My anger will be directed to their destruction.’ The LORD of hosts will arouse a scourge against him like the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb… He has come against Aiath,
He has passed through Migron…
He shakes his fist at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.” (Isa 10:24-26,28,32 NASB)
Help save Migron

Jerusalem is clearly seen from Migron. The battle to save Migron is a battle for Jerusalem against antichrist forces. We ask all of you to pray for Migron, but also to contact the Prime Minister of Israel as well as other government leaders in Israel, asking them to save Migron. Please encourage your friends to do the same. Write a short message and do not preach! Write something like: “I am a friend of Israel
living in (name your country). Don’t destroy any more Jewish homes in Israel! We ask you to save Migron.” Your name.
Send the message to:
Fax:  + 972-2-670-5369
Emails: Memshala@pmo.gov.il and
pm_eng2@it.pmo.gov.il (underscore after pm)
Use both addresses.
You can also write to the other ministers:

Pray that the prophetic word for the mountains of Israel will come to pass!
But you, O mountains of Israel, will produce branches and fruit for my people Israel, for they will soon come home. I am concerned for you and will look on you with favor; you will be plowed and sown, and I will multiply the number of people upon you, even the whole house of Israel. The towns will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt.” (Ez 36:8-10)
Pray and intercede in the Spirit for the uniting of “Ephraim and Judah” on the mountains of Israel!
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am going to take the stick of Joseph—which is in Ephraim’s hand—and of the Israelite tribes associated with him, and join it to Judah’s stick, making them a single stick of wood, and they will become one in my hand… I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel.” (Ez 37:19,22)
Then Judah came near to [Joseph]…” (Gen 44:18)
Pray for the revelation of the Messiah to Judah!
Pray for many Christian Zionists from the nations to help the Israeli farmers!
They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. Aliens will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.” (Isa 61:4-5)
Pray for a strong support from the nations so that Migron will be spared!
Again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria;
the farmers will plant them and enjoy their fruit. There will be a day when watchmen cry out on the hills of Ephraim,
‘Come, let us go up to Zion, to the LORD our God.’” (Jer 31:5-6)
Pray for protection and strength to Benyamin Netanyahu to stand for the truth and lead Israel!
Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I am the one who helps you, declares the LORD; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel. Behold, I make of you a threshing sledge, new, sharp, and having teeth; you shall thresh the mountains and crush them, and you shall make the hills like chaff.” (Isa 41:14-15)
May God bless you as watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem!
